Export Ram 1500 TRX Car Prices in Dubai

Car Model & Year Price
Ram 1500 TRX V8 Lux (Red), 2022 AED 229,000
Ram 1500 TRX (White), 2021 AED 269,990

Most of the demand for a Ram 1500 for export from Dubai is for the ordinary truck. The TRX is not that. It is the supercharged 6.2 litre version of the same 1500, roughly 700 horsepower, built from 2021 until production stopped in February 2024, then brought back for the 2026 model year after a two year gap. That gap is the first thing worth knowing if you are trying to export Ram 1500 from Dubai in TRX form, because it explains why the market has a hole in it and why prices on the last of the 2024 cars behave the way they do.

Every Ram 1500 TRX for sale in Dubai listed here is a used truck. Supply is national rather than local, so a Ram 1500 TRX for sale in the UAE is often the same vehicle, moved between the emirates by the dealer holding it. The second thing worth knowing is that a TRX asks more of its destination than a standard truck does. It wants high octane fuel it cannot always get, it is wider than the truck it is based on, and its running costs are in a different class. None of that is a reason to avoid it, and buyers across the Gulf, the Levant and Central Asia want these trucks. It is a reason to check three specific things before paying. What follows covers the model itself and what the TRX badge changes against a Laramie or a Limited. Then where these trucks go and the fuel question that decides it, and what moves a Ram 1500 TRX export Dubai price. Two things get their own sections because they catch people out: why the VIN history matters more on this truck than on most, and the width and weight. Buyers after the standard truck should start with the Ram 1500 export listings, and the wider range is on the Ram export hub.

The TRX inside the Ram 1500 range, and the gap in the build years

The TRX is built on the DT generation Ram 1500 but it is not a trim level in the ordinary sense. It has its own engine, its own suspension, its own axles and its own bodywork. The engine is the supercharged 6.2 litre V8 shared with the Hellcat family, rated at 702 horsepower in the original truck, driving through an eight speed automatic and a four wheel drive system built to cope with it.

Production ran from the 2021 model year to February 2024, when the last truck came down the line and the supercharged V8 was retired from the Ram range. Stellantis then confirmed the TRX would return for 2026, with production restarting at the start of that year. The practical consequence for anyone buying now is that there is no 2025 TRX, and the market splits into the 2021 to 2024 trucks and the returning cars, with different availability and different pricing behaviour on each side.

That matters for an export buyer in a specific way. A 2024 truck is the last of a run that people already treat as finished, and it is priced accordingly. A returning car is a current vehicle with a current warranty position. Neither is automatically the better buy, but they are different purchases and should not be compared on headline price alone.

The rest of the 1500 range sits underneath: Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn and Limited, on the 3.6 litre V6, the 5.7 litre V8 and, on later trucks, the 3.0 litre twin turbo inline six. Those are the trucks that do most of the volume out of Dubai, and for a buyer whose priority is capability per dirham rather than outright performance they are usually the sensible answer.

One naming point before the detail. A great many buyers in these markets still say Dodge Ram, and a Dodge Ram export from Dubai today means a Ram badged truck, since the brand was separated from Dodge years ago. Older listings and older paperwork use both names for the same vehicle, so do not read a difference into it where none exists.

What the TRX badge changes against a Laramie or a Limited

The engine is the headline and the rest follows from it. A TRX carries a bespoke long travel suspension setup with remote reservoir dampers, wider track, stronger axles, larger brakes and a reinforced frame, plus the flared bodywork needed to cover the extra width. Inside it gets its own seats, instrumentation and trim.

For an export buyer the meaningful differences are the ones that persist after the truck has landed. Fuel consumption is far higher than a V8 Laramie and in a different world from the V6 trucks, and in markets where fuel is expensive that is the number that decides whether the owner keeps the vehicle. Tyres are a specific size fitted to a specific wheel, and they are neither cheap nor stocked everywhere. Suspension components are TRX only and are not a part a general Ram specialist will have on a shelf.

Servicing the engine itself is more ordinary than people expect. The supercharged 6.2 is a widely used unit across the Stellantis performance range, so a workshop in a market with American vehicles will have seen it, or something close to it, in another body. The parts that cause trouble are the chassis and suspension items, not the engine.

None of this argues against the truck. It argues for knowing what you are taking on. A buyer who wants the presence and the payload of a full size American pickup without the running costs is better served by a Laramie or a Limited, and should say so before the deposit rather than after the first fuel bill.

Where a TRX from Dubai goes, and the fuel question that decides it

The Gulf itself is the largest market. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain buy Dubai trucks constantly, the specification is already right, fuel is affordable, and the vehicle moves overland on export plates with no sea freight at all. That route is the cheapest and the fastest and it is where most of these trucks end up.

Iraq and Jordan follow, again largely overland or through Aqaba. Central Asia takes some, with Kazakhstan the most active, though American full size pickups are a smaller category there than large SUVs. Libya and parts of North Africa buy them. In sub Saharan Africa the TRX is rare, because fuel cost and octane availability work against it, while the standard Ram and the diesel pickup segment sell steadily.

The fuel question deserves its own paragraph because it is the single most common reason an import goes wrong. A supercharged high compression petrol engine is calibrated for high octane fuel. Where the best available pump fuel is low octane, the engine management protects itself by pulling timing, and the result is a truck that is slower, thirstier and harder on its own components than it should be. Before you buy, find out what octane is actually sold at the pumps where the truck will live, not what the national specification says it should be. If the honest answer is 91 or lower, buy a different truck.

Right hand drive is the other hard limit. Ram trucks sold in the UAE are left hand drive and there is no right hand drive stock here, which rules out registration in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Pakistan and the rest of the right hand drive world unless the buyer accepts a left hand drive vehicle.

What sets the export price of a Ram 1500 TRX

Model year does more work here than on most vehicles because of the production gap. Within the original run, later trucks command more, and the final model year carries a premium that has less to do with mechanical difference than with the fact that people know it was the last.

After that: recorded mileage, service history and whether it was maintained through the regional agency network, accident history, and the condition of the suspension. On a truck with this much power and this specific a damper setup, worn or leaking dampers are a real cost rather than a haggling point, and they are the item an inspector should look at first.

Modifications move the price in both directions and mostly downwards for an export buyer. Aftermarket exhausts, pulley changes, tunes and lift kits are common on these trucks in this market. Any of them can void what remains of a warranty, several will fail an emissions or roadworthiness check at the destination, and a tuned supercharged engine is a different risk from a standard one. Ask directly whether the truck has been tuned and ask for the answer in writing.

Then the ordinary commercial levers: dealer or private seller, finance outstanding and needing to be cleared before de registration, colour, and whether the truck ships in a container or on a roll on roll off vessel. Trucks this large also cost more to ship than a saloon, and freight is a larger share of the landed cost than buyers expect.

American spec, GCC spec and why the VIN history matters on this truck

Unusually for the cars traded out of Dubai, the American specification is the original and the GCC specification is the variant. A truck built for the Gulf carries the hot climate cooling and air conditioning package and comes with a regional agency warranty. A truck built for North America carries United States lighting, a speedometer in miles and emissions equipment certified to the American regime.

Both are traded here and both are legitimate, but they need telling apart. A GCC truck comes with a Gulf service history and a regional warranty that can sometimes be transferred. An American truck arrived in this market as an import itself, and its earlier history happened somewhere else entirely.

That is where the VIN history check earns its cost. American full size pickups are among the most commonly rebuilt vehicles in the world, and a truck with a salvage, flood or total loss record in its North American history can be repaired, imported, registered locally and sold on with none of that visible in the paperwork you are shown. A VIN history report from a United States database costs very little and settles the question in minutes. On this specific truck, in this specific market, it is not an optional step.

The same check answers a second question worth asking: whether the odometer reading is consistent with the vehicle's recorded history. Ask for it before the inspection rather than after, because a poor history report saves you the inspection fee entirely.

Buying a Ram 1500 TRX in Dubai for export

Browse the listings, filter by year and mileage, and contact the seller directly by phone, WhatsApp or callback. OneClickDrive is a marketplace, so you deal with the seller without an agent in the middle and without commission added. Ask for the VIN in writing first, then photographs, then the service history, then a direct answer on whether the truck has been modified or tuned.

Run the VIN through a United States history database before anything else. If it comes back clean, book an independent pre shipment inspection in Dubai and brief the inspector specifically: a diagnostic scan for stored codes, a check for aftermarket tuning on the engine management, the condition and oil tightness of all four dampers, supercharger belt and bearing condition, tyre date codes as well as tread, and a full photographic record of existing damage.

Agree the number, then have freight and documentation quoted in writing before committing to anything. Paperwork follows one of two paths. A truck on UAE plates has to be de registered by the RTA first, and that step is what produces the Export Certificate and the temporary plates. A zero kilometre truck has no registration to cancel and travels on the dealer invoice with a Certificate of Origin. Outstanding finance halts both until it is cleared.

Shipping runs through Jebel Ali by roll on roll off or in a container, or overland on export plates to a Gulf destination. A TRX is a common roll on roll off candidate because its height and width make containerisation awkward and expensive, and because it drives on and off under its own power without the ground clearance worries a low car has. Duty, approval and registration at the far end are your own country's rules. The document list, the VAT position and the freight arrangements are set out on the Dubai export cars hub.

Width, weight, age limits and what to confirm before you pay

The TRX is wider than the truck it is based on, because the suspension is wider and the flared bodywork covers it. That has two consequences an importer notices late. The first is shipping: the extra width pushes the truck out of the cheapest container options and can change the freight quote materially, which is part of why so many go by roll on roll off. The second is registration. A number of countries band vehicle registration fees, road tax or licence class by dimensions or by kerb weight, and a truck of this size can land in a higher band than the buyer assumed.

Age caps are rarely the problem on this vehicle, since the earliest trucks are from 2021 and most import regimes admit anything inside five, eight or ten years. Engine capacity is the problem instead. A 6.2 litre petrol engine sits at the top of every displacement based duty scale in existence, and in several markets that duty is the largest single number in the transaction. Get it in writing from a customs broker in your own country before agreeing a price.

Emissions testing is the third consideration and it is where a tuned truck fails. Markets that run an emissions or roadworthiness test at import will test this vehicle, and an aftermarket exhaust or a modified engine calibration can stop the truck being registered. If the seller cannot confirm the truck is standard, assume it is not.

Before the deposit, settle five things. What octane fuel is actually available where the truck will live. What your customs service charges on a 6.2 litre petrol vehicle. Whether the VIN history is clean. Whether the truck is mechanically standard. And what the freight quote covers, given the width. Buyers who want a TRX to register and drive in the UAE rather than export should look at the used Ram 1500 TRX listings in Dubai.

Frequently Asked Questions

What years was the Ram 1500 TRX built?

From the 2021 model year until production ended in February 2024, when the supercharged 6.2 litre V8 was retired from the Ram range. Stellantis then confirmed the TRX would return for the 2026 model year, with production restarting at the start of 2026. There is no 2025 TRX.

What is the difference between a TRX and a Laramie or Limited?

The TRX has its own supercharged 6.2 litre V8, its own long travel suspension, wider track, stronger axles and flared bodywork. Laramie and Limited are trim levels on the standard truck with the V6, the 5.7 litre V8 or the twin turbo inline six, and they cost far less to run.

Can I run a TRX on low octane fuel?

Not well. The engine is calibrated for high octane fuel and will pull timing to protect itself on anything lower, which makes the truck slower and thirstier and puts more load on the engine. Check what octane is actually sold at the pumps where the truck will live before you buy.

Why should I run a VIN history check on a Ram from Dubai?

Because a large share of American full size pickups in this market arrived as imports, and a salvage, flood or total loss record from North America does not appear in the local paperwork. A United States VIN history report is inexpensive and settles it in minutes.

Does the extra width of a TRX affect shipping?

Yes. The wider track and flared bodywork push the truck out of the cheapest container options and change the freight quote. Many are shipped on roll on roll off vessels instead, which is usually the cheaper route for a vehicle this size.

Will import age limits stop me bringing in a TRX?

Rarely, since the earliest trucks are from 2021 and most caps admit anything inside five, eight or ten years. Engine capacity duty is the constraint that bites, because a 6.2 litre petrol engine sits at the top of every displacement based scale.

Does a modified TRX cause problems at import?

It can. Aftermarket exhausts, pulley changes and engine calibration edits are common on these trucks here, and markets that run an emissions or roadworthiness test at import may refuse to register a modified vehicle. Ask whether the truck is standard and get the answer in writing.

Does OneClickDrive handle the export?

No. The role here is to list the trucks and put you in direct contact with whoever is selling. That seller, or a forwarder working with them, handles the inspection, the de registration, the shipping booking and the paperwork. Nothing is added to the price for the introduction. The sequence and the document checklist are set out on the Dubai export cars hub.

Note: The above listings including the prices are updated by the respective used car sellers and dealership. Incase the car is not available at the price mentioned (exclusive of VAT), please inform us and we’ll get back to you with the best alternative. Happy buying!
